No Tricks, No Treats...


This little girl's expression resonates with me. I feel sad because my secret pal seems to have forgotten about me this past month.

    Perhaps it is the snail mail syndrome and not the poopy pal syndrome. Ugh, it's so sad when you feel forgotten about. Thinking about you, sweet girl.:)

    I did 2 rounds of secret pals and opted out of the third go around. I was lucky that I had two really great pals, I didn't want to jinx it a third time!

    Maybe it is slow mail. I once mailed a gift to a secret pal and it took weeks to find her. In the mean time she was convinced she had been forgotten.

    HI! I stumbled onto your blog via somebody! I cant' even remember now. I have been blogging since late July but just discovered this week how many blogs there are with other adoptive Chinese families! I saw that you have America World on your links. That is our agency! We traveled to get our sweet baby girl (who was 15mos old!) in Feb. '04. Our baby is now 4 and we are starting on #2. Just wanted to connect with another AWAAer. ; )

    I went to my PO Box ever day for the last 2 weeks and nothing for me either. I think we should be each others SP I would never forget you. Your right it just stinks. I will call the moderator when I get home if nothing shows up. What are you going to do?

    With you on the missing secret pal thing!! Hope you got your gift late. My secret pal forgot me three times during the last year, so I feel your pain! (and frustration and annoyance - the secret pal exchange is supposed to enhance this experience and ease the wait, not make it worse). Bad enough we have to wait for our babies; we shouldn't have to wait for the secret pal!!
    (okay, rant over)
