We all know life can change in an instant, and mine has. I was enjoying my life as a newlywed, savoring every day with my wonderful husband, and trying to overcome infertility when we learned in May of 2009 that he has kidney cancer. Now, our focus is on his health. Through our struggles with infertility my faith in Christ grew, and now I can face this new challenge knowing that we are in His hands.

Happy Birthday, Joannah!! Mine was on Monday. People always think it must have stunk as a kid (assuming my bday got lost in the Christmas mix), but I loved it. I never got forgotten and it was twice the celebration.

New Girl said that people think it must have stunk having a birthday close to Christmas... Mine is 12/8, and I have to say I was one of the unlucky ones - When I went to my grandparents house on Christmas with all my aunts and uncles, everyone would give me one present that was for both Christmas AND my birthday combined, and then a separate card that said "Happy Birthday" instead of Merry Christmas, like everyone else got... Now I'm busy maxing out my credit cards buying all the gifts I never got for just my birthday!!! lol.... Here's to hoping you get lots of birthday gifts ;)
