...by Paulette! She sent me this darling purse/hand-warmer this week for Jillian. It's been so cold here that I think I might start carrying it around with me! Brrr....
You very welcome. It's a whapping 2 degrees up here this morning. This snowman caught my eye. OK it was on the holiday sale rack but didn't look to Christmassy and sure does depict the weather these days burrrrrrrrrrr cold. This just may be the only snowman Jillian gets to play with until you come for a visit. Have a great weekend.
Oh, it's cold in Southern California. My heart really bleeds for you probably having to deal with cold temps in the 60s; we are suppose to be in the low 20's and although it says it is 30 outside, the wind chill is 23. Now that is cold weather! My husband is from the upper peninsula of Michigan, so 20 degrees is nothing for him.
I've just discovered your blog and I've loved reading your story. I have my own Jillian (she just turned 2!), so I love the name you have picked out for your daughter :-) I hope everything goes very smoothly and you get to meet your daughter soon, I can't imagine the long wait which is involved in adopting from China and I'm in awe of all the china adoption blogs I've been reading (I have a friend who is also in the process, it's through her blog that I've been finding all these others).
And just to share, there is a cute series of books called "Jillian Jiggs" by Phoebe Gilman. I found out about them after my daughter was born and now I'm collecting the series for her, they are quite cute (we actually call our daugher Jillian Jiggs as a nn sometimes lol!).
We all know life can change in an instant, and mine has. I was enjoying my life as a newlywed, savoring every day with my wonderful husband, and trying to overcome infertility when we learned in May of 2009 that he has kidney cancer. Now, our focus is on his health. Through our struggles with infertility my faith in Christ grew, and now I can face this new challenge knowing that we are in His hands.

I love cold weather and wish it would get colder; Indian Summer in the middle of January just doesn't cut it. ;)
