Seven Months

Tomorrow makes seven months since I was LID. I believe I have another twelve months to wait.

    I'll have a hard time cheering you up since I've been down in the dumps about it this week...but hey...seven is better than six! Each month gets you one closer. (Theoretically...ha! ha!)

    This wait has gotten so long for everyone adopting from China. I feel for you! But you're well into it now. Just think -- Jillian may be already born by now or else she will be within a few months. And she's already destined for you.

    Seven down and a speed up to come next summer...I can feel it. No, that was just my doggie Gracie licking my leg. =) Well, I still believe a speed up has to occur at some point. What goes slow must go fast?!

    Geesh, when you look at it like that it can really ruin a day.

    The way I look at it these days if the wait is 12 months then our daughters will be born within the next 6 months or so. There hearts are beating somewhere in China and waiting for us too.

    Hang in there and hunker down for the long haul. It will all be so worth the wait. Do everything you can to be completely prepared and don't wait to do anything until after referral, your life will never be the same after that day (in a very wonderful way!)

    Well, you're seven months closer. Hope that we see the referrals covering full months soon. It's gotta get better right?

    You never know, with people choosing to go the SN route and many switching to Guatemala and other countries because of the wait, maybe the wait will shorten.

    Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

    Congratulations on getting that far. That, in and of itself, is a testament to your love for your little girl. And, while it may seem like an eternity, once she's in your arms the time spent waiting will seem like raindrops in the ocean.

    Wow! Are you really anticipating a 19 month wait? I waited 14 months and many times felt like it was not real. You are doing so good with your wait.
