Thirty months, huh?

By now, you've probably read this.

Maybe I should sign up for a doctorate program to keep me busy in the meantime?

On second thought, no way! I'll find something else to do.

Oh yeah, I think I would have someone do me physical harm before I allowed myself to enter my specialty's doctoral program. Of course, it only would matter if I wanted to go into academia. No thanks, I'll remain a practicing clinician. More fun to me.

Ah well, we'll entertain ourselves somehow.

OMG - That is just unbelievable.

I guess the only consolation to news like that is that you know at the end of the line you will have a sweet little daughter to love forever.

    Hang in there.

We are two years into to our process and we had hoped to get our referral this months. But the CCAA only did two days worth of dossier,, something they have never done before. So hopefully next month. But 30 months must seem like a life time.. When we first started this process were were told it would be 6 to 8 months, then we had to wait another 8 months and so on and so on. I know it must feel like it will take forever... but time will pass quickly.

LOL - Your avatar looks totally like you, girl! How fun - maybe I'll try that, too.

There are a whole lotta things that could be done in 30 months, like give birth to three children. Well, maybe two.....

My sister in law was thinking of adopting my niece a sister, but not now. :( It hardly seems fair (hardly! It ISN'T fair!) that my baby will be arriving before yours, but on the plus side, mine will have a chance to catch up to yours in age by the time you bring her home, and then maybe I could scoot on down to CA and we could have a playdate, LOL.

Did you get your Master's in Admin? I can't remember!

It's just such a nutty journey. Hey how does Angelina get her babies so quick?

Ok.. my vote is that we will have to wait about 24 months and not the dreaded 30.. I think I "might" be able to handle 24 months. At least that is what I'm counting on right now

What can we do? I guess it gives us plenty of time to get things in order and pay off the adoption loan.

Now I'm sorry I don't know much on how this process works, but I am certainly captured with your journey.

I have often wondered the same as Elizabeth's comment how does Angelina Joile adopt so quickly? It is sad to think there are some many wonderful people waiting so patiently for there little ones.

I spent a good portion of yesterday in tears when I found out. I did the math and for us ~ if we get LID by July ~ we think it will be more like 4 years because of the MAY 1 rush. Our agency is insisting only a 24 month wait becuase they are worried we are going to look at another program! I hope and Pray that many of you will not wait 30 months - that is just not fair to these children :-(

It's shocking. When our agency sent an email last week saying that the wait could go from 24-36 months I couldn't even blink. My eyes froze, my body shut down. Then they quickly sent out an email saying they don't know that it will but it's a possibility. Great.

April, my MA is in Curriculum & Instruction. No administrative positions for me. Yuck!!! Being a principal is completely undesirable to me.

I have NO IDEA how Brangelina adopt children at the rate of one a year. I can only imagine her celebrity and wealth open doors for her. However, we don't see her adopting from China now, do we? I doubt they'd speed things up for her or anyone else.

I think I may do the Esther fast..I just hope I don't lose my job. If I don't have something eat by 12:30pm I am liable to bite someone's head off;)!! Maybe I will do one day instead of 3.
